What Robert Has Done

PDG Robert Libin has been successful with everything he has done as a Lion.

For example, as Fund raising chair for his club, PDG Libin brought in some new ideas that have help his club on average raise over $5,000 yearly since 1992.

When Governor, he created the District 20 K-1 Lions Foundation, and served three  years as President and now as an advisor.  The Foundation is assisting all the clubs in District 20 K-1 by helping make additional funds available to accomplish Lionistic projects.

PDG Libin was asked to create a “Tri State Induction Day” bringing in new Lions and their sponsors from around 3 Multiple Districts.  MD23 Connecticut, MD 16 New Jersey, and MD 20 New York State and Bermuda all participated.  The hope was to bring in 200 new Lions and their sponsors.  There were over 400 new Lions and Sponsors in attendance.  Lions enjoyed taking their picture with the world renowned Unisphere in the background.  Nothing like this had ever been attempted before and it was a memorable day for one and all.

As Campaign Sight First II District chair, PDG Libin lead the charge raising funds for helping with preventable blindness.  Through his efforts, the Rego Park – Forest Hills Lions club was recognized with the “Top Club Award” for the constitutional area, and District 20 K-1 was in close 2nd place fundraising for MD 20.  Working with the Lions Clubs International Trading Pin Club, PDG Libin further lead the campaign as the International Pin Traders donated an additional $146,000.  For his efforts, PDG Libin received special recognition.

When the Tsunami struck in 2004, then District Governor Libin raced into action and thru his direction, District 20 K-1 was able to donate almost $60,000 for relief efforts.
